Investing in a new development or an existing property is a significant step.
Beyond the purchase itself, clients are faced with a series of decisions - from layouts, materials and technical selections to furniture, lighting and final layers that shape how the space will be experienced.
Each of these choices contributes to how the home will function, feel and evolve over time.
My role is to help you approach these decisions with structure and clarity - developing a cohesive interior concept and guiding key choices so that each element contributes to a well-considered overall result.
Depending on the nature of the project, this can involve working alongside an architectural team or focusing on interior planning, furnishing and decorative elements.
Signature Interior Design Service
This is my core service and the way I work with most clients.
This service applies both to new-build properties and to existing homes, with the scope adapted to the nature of each project.
The approach remains the same - defining a clear direction first, and guiding decisions so that the final result is coherent and well considered.
What this service includes
1. Spatial planning and layout strategy
We begin by understanding how the space will be used - both now and in the long term.
I develop furniture layouts and spatial solutions that help explore and maximise the full potential of the space, while clarifying:
-
how rooms relate to each other
-
how daily life flows through the space
-
where it makes sense to invest in functionality and flexibility
Layouts are coordinated with lighting and electrical positioning to support both practical use and the overall atmosphere of the interior.
2. Design concept and visual direction
Based on the agreed layout, I develop a clear interior concept that provides a framework for all further decisions.
This includes:
-
colour palettes and material direction
-
finishes and surface references
-
moodboards and visual references
-
3D visualisations (where appropriate)
The concept helps clients evaluate options - from developer upgrades to independent purchases - in relation to a cohesive whole, rather than as isolated choices.
3. Materials, finishes and key design decisions
For new-build projects, this includes selections provided by the developer.
For existing properties, this involves defining materials and finishes as part of the renovation or interior update.
I guide clients through these choices, helping them assess:
-
material quality and visual impact
-
coherence with the overall design direction
-
how different selections interact within the space
I review proposals from suppliers and contractors involved in the project, helping clients assess options and make informed, coherent decisions aligned with the overall design direction.
4. Implementation support
During the implementation phase, I continue to support the project - either alongside the developer’s team or in coordination with contractors involved in the project.
My role is advisory and collaborative, ensuring that the design is carried through consistently.
This may include:
-
participation in joint meetings with suppliers and contractors
-
site visits to review progress and clarify design intent
-
ongoing design input as questions arise during execution
5. Completion and refinement
As the project progresses, additional decisions are required to complete the space in a coherent and considered way.
I assist clients with elements such as:
-
custom-designed storage and bespoke furniture
-
selection of furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories and décor
-
coordination of independent craftsmen for works not covered within the main scope of works (for example joinery, wallpaper installation, window treatments)
These final layers help bring the interior together in a coherent and intentional way.
How projects are structured
Projects are structured in stages, allowing clarity and flexibility throughout the process.
The scope of work is defined after an initial consultation, once we understand:
-
the property and its development stage
-
the types of decisions and investments involved
-
the level of design and implementation support required
Fees are defined in advance based on the scope and complexity of the project.
