Salone del mobile, Milan, 2023

In April I visited Milan furniture exhibition #salonedelmobile - one of the most significant events in the world of interior design. It is there that you get the most complete picture of where the industry is heading, and what is most relevant now!

Glad to share with you my list of top current trends spotted at Salone del Mobile:

🔸 Colours: numerous shades of my favourite terracotta are everywhere (furniture, walls, decor, etc.)! And also ocher, burgundy, olive, mint, muted blue, intense blue, and, of course, creamy.

🔸 Shapes: there are almost no straight and sharp corners left, everything curves, rounds, envelops and flows smoothly (I love this trend!)

🔸 Materials: natural or eco-synthetics, complex textures and patterns. There are a lot of boucle designs in textiles, velveteen in furniture continues to gain momentum.

🔸 Light: on the one hand, it imperceptibly integrates into everything that is possible, on the other hand, it continues to develop in the direction of an art object and becomes the main decoration of the interior. Incredible shapes and sizes, many of them refer to nature (for example, the moon, jellyfish, flowers and leaves, clam shell, etc.)

🔸 Decor: unusual curved shapes, complex textures. Plants are everywhere - live, mummified, many stands fit entire trees into their interiors.

I love all these trends! In general, I must say that the interiors tend to be filled with life in all its manifestations!

And what do you think? Which of the listed trends do you like? Or dislike? Share in the comments! I would be glad to know your opinion!🙌🧡
